Poetry Book Society Selections 2023-2025

T.S. Eliot first founded his poetry book club in 1953. I was asked to select new poetry collections with fellow working-class poet Roy McFarlane some seventy years later. We selected the poetry collections below from thousands of books, picking six collections each quarterly season. They've gone on to achieve great things.

People are always asking me what I'm reading, so the list below is a pretty good indication of some of the poetry that has floored me over the past two years. I recommend these collections to you for many reasons, too many to list here. Suffice to say Roy and I are proud to have showcased such a diverse range of poets, poetries and publishers over our tenure. We feel so privileged to have been in the position to make these selections and read all the outstanding writing submitted.
